
Terms and Conditions
1. All clients will be deemed to have accepted Led by Laura’s terms and conditions (as laid out here) on signature of the contract.
2. Led by Laura will not confirm any booking until a consultation has been carried out with the client and the contract, with full details of client requirements, has been signed by the client.
3. Full payment for services is to be made within 7 days of service provided via cash or bank transfer.
4. Cancellations require over 24 hours notice. If the required notice is not given charges will be applied in full for the cancelled period.
5. All dogs being exercised must be fully vaccinated and on a regular flea and worm control regime.
6. All dogs will be exercised on a lead unless prior agreement has been reached with Led by Laura and a form has been signed.
7. Although Led by Laura holds Public Liability insurance, pets must be insured by the client.
8.Led by Laura reserves the right to refuse a booking for any animal which is not neutered.
9. The client must provide all items necessary for pets to be adequately cared for in the client's absence. (i.e., food, medication, leads, tags, collars, cat litter etc). Should pets require any additional supplies whilst in the care of Led by Laura, these will be purchased and added to the bill.
10. The walker will apply personal judgment and cut short a walk if necessary because of extreme weather conditions (ie, heat, thunder storms) for the safety of both the dogs and the walker.
11. Led by Laura must be alerted to any behavioural problems with their pets at the time of booking. Failure to do so may result in cancellation of any future services.
12. The client must provide Led by Laura with the name and contact number of someone capable of making a decision relating to the pet(s) in an emergency. If the contact is not available Led by Laura reserves the right to consult with a veterinary surgeon and then make a decision which is in the best interests of the animal.
13. The client is responsible for any veterinary bills, no matter how they are incurred, whilst pets are in the care of Led by Laura.
14. Led by Laura will care for your animal as you would, and whilst we will make every effort to ensure your pet is well looked after in your absence, Led by Laura cannot be held liable for any loss, injury or death to a pet either inside or outside of the home whilst in our care.
15. Led by Laura will make adequate steps to ensure your home is safe and secure in your absence, however Led by Laura cannot be held responsible for any burglaries or accidents caused by your pet(s).
16. We take photos of each pet during services provided, which we keep on file. We may use some photos in advertising our service and/or post to our social media sites. Please let us know beforehand if you do not wish your pet's photos to be made public.
Privacy policy
1. There are a number of ways in which you will be required to provide Led by Laura with personal data (Name, addresses, contact numbers, email address etc) and in some circumstances what is known as ‘Special Category Data’ (Health and medical information). This is required so we can establish communications with yourself surrounding your enquiry.
2. Upon calling our mobile phone contact our electronic devices will automatically store your number. Your number will not be saved unless you book services with us and the memory holding call lists on our phones will be wiped incrementally through the year.
3. Any digital data which is collected through phone, email or contact form will be stored on appropriate accounts via password on a laptop or phone. The passwords for these accounts are only known by Laura. The laptop in question has up to date anti-virus protection.
4. Upon booking we will require you to complete a paper booking form with confirmation of personal data and some special category data. This data is required to ensure we have appropriate contact information for you. This special category data is used so we can ensure we can adapt our services to meet your pets needs.
5. Our form also has the requirement for you to list an appropriate emergency contact. This is required so that in the event of an incident and we cannot contact yourself, we have a second point of contact. You will be required to tick the appropriate box to display this person has consented to their data being passed on to us.
6. We will store these booking forms in a locked filing cabinet.
7. Your data will be stored for 3 years after your last service.
